Haiku I read a couple of Haiku's online and wrote one my self and posted it on Wiki so I would love everyone's feed back! I also took the survey at the bottom of the 13th day page about haiku's. I have learned a lot about haiku's and have grown to love to read them.

Day 23 and 26 For these days you had to listen and read two poems. I though that these poems were very good and very visual. The one thing I would have changed with the day 26 poem was the length because it was very long and the topic because it not topic that most people would find interesting. Also the writer sounded very much like she was singing the poem which was not only distracting but I felt also took away the whole sentimental feeling of the poem.

Secret Poem Oh my gosh really?
I promise I wont tell
Your secret is safe with me
Hey, guess what I just heard!
I Know right its crazy!
But don’t tell anyone I wasn’t supposed to tell you
Oh my gosh I promise I didn’t tell!
Well maybe one person….but she promised she didn’t tell either
I'm sorry I wont ever tell anyone anything else ever again
Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!
You know you can trust me
Oh my gosh really?
Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me!

Lady Lady is a word
Not an attitude or a lifestyle, just a word
So if I’m not a lady, then I’m simply not a specific word
In fact I’m Meghan, there isn’t an “L,” “D,” or “Y” in that name
“L” for lazy, late
“A” for attitude, ambivalent
“D” for disrespectful, disobedient
“Y” for young, youthful
A lady doesn’t sound so dainty and sweet anymore does it?
Well I’m certainly not one.
For one thing, you can’t tell me I’m late
I’m always on time
See I arrive ON the TIME that I show up.
It’s my clock and my schedule
So you don’t get to decide whether I’m late or not, I do
And lazy, well I work…
It’s just easier to watch you do it.
And I make decisions
I’m not wish washy like some people I know
Who are always changing their mind on what they want to do, who they like, what they stand for
I know what I stand for
I have two solid feet on the ground.
I just happen to take a long time to come to a decision.
And I respect you whether you deserve my respect or not
And I listen to you
Even when you think I’m not,
I’m subconsciously listening
And probably won’t remember what you said five minutes later
And I am not talking back
In fact I’m talking facing forward
So don’t call me rude or ill-mannered,
You provoked me.
Don’t say, “I don’t like your attitude”
Because I don’t like yours either
So I guess we can agree on one thing.
But even if people happen to call me a lady
I won’t hide in shame like most people.
I will stand loud and proud
This person who had the nerve to call me a lady thinks I’m:
Lazy, tardy, sassy, ambivalent, impolite, disobedient, and young.
Well I sort of have to agree with them…
In fact I think I’m the closest thing you get to be lady like.
